The story of the 40

It was in the summer of 2012 when Ashton and I only had gathered a few people in our living room on a monthly basis. My faith was high and our efforts to attract people to this new church were in full swing. But if there is anything I know about how God works is that it we tend to drift into trying to do His work for Him. We try to fit our calling into a box that is manageable. It is at the moment where we think we have it down to a science that God usually calls us to something extreme.

From our desire to see God do only what He could do, we decided as a team to sacrifice greatly for the 40 days leading up to our church's public launch on September 9th. This summer, we want to be more intentional than ever before about inviting the entire church to experience a season of sacrifice and spiritual awareness.

On behalf of the entire staff at Focus, I want to welcome you to the 40 Days of Focus and invite you to journey with us the entire way.
